Everything you want to know before your first visit to the Lightner Courtyard — hours, parking, the student discount, wifi, dietary options, and more. A few answers are pending final confirmation from the Lightner Museum and will be posted as soon as we have them.

No. The Rambler is a walk-in café — come as you are, any time during business hours. No reservation, no app, no pre-order required.

Yes. The Lightner Museum courtyard is accessible from the King Street arch during café hours. No museum admission required — just walk in, order a drink at Suite 120, and settle into the courtyard.

All nearby parking is paid. Meters are free on Sundays. Metered street spots and the Cordova garage are also free on Sundays.
See the full parking guide →Yes. Old Town Trolley Stop 10 — Lightner Museum is directly in front of the King Street entrance. The trolley runs every 15 minutes from 9 AM–4:30 PM daily.
About a 2-minute walk. Head south from the main Flagler College entrance on King Street, cross at the crosswalk, and look for the arch on your right. Suite 120 is straight through the courtyard.
Student info & discount →Yes. Decaf espresso is available for all espresso-based drinks — lattes, cortados, Americanos, cappuccinos, and our signature drinks. Just ask your barista.

See the current menu →Every pastry in our case arrives the morning it serves — from local St. Augustine and North Florida artisan bakers. We finish them to order on our counter oven. Provenance is noted on the menu board so you know exactly who made what.
Meet our local makers →Yes — free wifi for all customers. The network name and password will be posted at the counter and updated on the admin print shop before opening.
Yes. We're open daily 7 AM–3 PM — quieter mid-afternoon atmosphere, free wifi, outlets at the study-seating area, and Flagler College students get $1 off espresso drinks.
Student info & perks →Yes. Power outlets are available at the study-seating area inside Suite 120. The interior is designed specifically for laptop use — expect dedicated table power at the study section.
Yes. Families are welcome. The open courtyard setting gives kids space to move, and we will have non-caffeinated drink options on the menu. High chairs are available on request.
This is pending confirmation from the Lightner Museum on their building pet policy. Once we have the answer, the courtyard-facing policy will be posted here and at the counter.
Yes. The courtyard is ground-level accessible from King Street — no steps at the arch entrance. Old Town Trolley Stop 10 and the STAR Circulator both run wheelchair-accessible vehicles. ADA-compliant restrooms are on the Lightner Building ground floor.

Yes. The Lightner Museum courtyard is available for private events, corporate receptions, birthday parties, and social gatherings. The Rambler handles all beverage and coffee service. Capacity runs from intimate dinners up to several hundred guests for standing receptions.
Submit an event inquiry →Yes. We offer B2B catering for offices, corporate meetings, and institutional clients in the St. Augustine area. Packages start at 10 people and include drip coffee service, espresso bars, and pastry trays. We also serve Flagler College departments and local businesses.
Catering packages →Yes. The Hotel Alcazar courtyard is one of St. Augustine's most storied wedding venues — a Spanish Renaissance pool hall turned museum courtyard, dating to 1888. We work with couples on coffee bars, welcome drinks, and reception beverage service inside this historic setting.
