MVP Menu — Subject to seasonal variation
Coffee, a few signatures, and a short food list. We don't try to be everything — just what we're good at.
Flagler Signatures
Named for Henry Flagler and the railroad era. Ours alone. About the coffee →

Double shot. Bold, clean, no nonsense.
Espresso stretched with hot water. Like ordering black — just better.

Velvet microfoam over two ristretto shots. For those who want something smoother than a cortado.
Espresso and steamed milk with a thin layer of foam. Served in glass, not paper.
Equal parts espresso, steamed milk, foam. Don't ask for extra foam — it's right.
18-hour steep. Served over ice. Light, smooth, no acidity.

Every morning, a quiet rotation arrives at our counter. Laminated pastries and hand pies from St. Augustine and the broader North Florida artisan community — baked that morning, delivered that day, finished to order on our counter oven before they reach you. No vendor names in the case. Just the work, and who's behind it.
The selection changes with the season and the makers. Some weeks bring flaky croissants and breakfast sandwiches. Others bring savory hand pies, buttery cookies, and bars you'd put on a proper table. The only constant is that someone with real skill made it.
It's the kind of pastry case worth the trip to the courtyard — unhurried, worth savoring, at the corner of Flagler and the Lightner. Come see what's there today.
Butter croissant, baked fresh daily. Plain or with ham and Gruyère.
Orange sugar pastry, laminated layers. Locals' favorite — never lasts past 10am.
Rotating — ask what's fresh. Usually a fruit + nut combination. Served warm.
House-cured salami, ciabatta, aged provolone, house mustard, arugula. Toasted.
Three-cheese grilled cheese with a cup of roasted tomato soup. Hot. Comforting.
The Rambler is a counter-service shop — no on-site kitchen, no chef's brigade. We work instead with a small circle of St. Augustine bakeries and prepared-food makers who do what we can't.
Every morning, fresh pastries and simple plates arrive from partners we've gotten to know over time. The count changes. The quality doesn't.
We keep a high-quality convection oven in-house for finishing and reheating. Everything served has already been made by someone who has made it many times before.
