The Venue
The Rambler occupies Suite 120, which opens directly onto the Lightner Museum's interior courtyard. That courtyard — arched stone walls, 1888 tiling, open to the sky — is one of the most distinctive event settings in St. Augustine. We cater it.
Morning, afternoon, or evening. Coffee service for a working breakfast. Passed hors d'oeuvres and espresso for a reception. Dessert and after-dinner drinks for a rehearsal dinner. We build the menu around your event.
Working breakfasts, faculty meetings, board meetings. Full pour-over and espresso menu, pastries, light breakfast items. Professional setup, efficient service.
Cocktail-style events with passed small bites, espresso cocktails, seasonal drinks. Standing room in the courtyard or table seating as needed.
Rehearsal dinners and celebrations. Coffee, dessert, and after-dinner drinks in the courtyard after dinner elsewhere. A beautiful way to close out the evening in the building.

The Building
The Lightner Building — the former Hotel Alcazar, designed by Carrère & Hastings in 1888 — is one of the most booked event venues in St. Augustine. It hosts weddings, receptions, corporate galas, and private functions year-round.
The Rambler is the only on-site food and beverage operator in the building. We work with the Lightner team to provide full catering for events across all their spaces.

Corporate & Groups
The Rambler's courtyard and café work well for a range of group needs — from a 12-person board breakfast to a 40-guest coffee break between conference sessions.
We are two blocks from Flagler College, making us a natural stop for faculty gatherings, visiting speakers, and college-adjacent events. St. Augustine's Old Town Trolley Stop 10 is directly outside — tour operators can build a scheduled stop into their route with no logistical overhead.
Faculty meetings, visiting committees, networking breakfasts. Efficient morning setup, full menu available.
